Hacienda Vieja is a creation of the Banuelos family, one of the most important families of Arandas - in the Highlands district in the designated Tequila production geographic zone. The Banuelos family has already founded and built a very successful Tequila brand, Tequila Cazadores, which they sold to Bacardi in 2002.

Hacienda Vieja Reposado Tequila is made from agave grown on the family estate and produced in the original distilling facility. This newly launched label is destined to be among the best - in quality terms - as well as being one of the most important Tequila brands. Hacienda Vieja is offered in a singular expression: Reposado.

(New labels identifying this Tequila as being made with 100% Agave are now being introduced in the marketplace. The brand was prohibited from stating this on previous labels - although the Tequila was made purely from agave - due to contractual agreements made in the sale of Cazadores.)
