Stranahan's "Batch #10" Colorado Whiskey

At a time when new brands are nearly tripping over themselves in their quest for homogeny, truly unique products of substance stand out. (At least they do at BevX!)

Last weekend, while visiting the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, I just had to stop by Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey. While there I was happy to see proprietor Jess Graber in good spirits and busily greeting visitors. I was not the only one who needed to pay a visit to this unique micro-distillery. Many who had made the trek to Denver for the GABF wanted to visit Stranahan's to see what all the recent buzz is all about.

I can firmly report that the Whiskey is as good as ever and that a few exciting experimental Whiskies are showing great promise. Stay tuned for further updates.

Tasting Note:
Brilliant, deep bronze color. Incredibly expressive on the nose offering scents of sweet malt, vanilla, dried fruit (apricots & figs), with a faint campfire note. Complex and rich on the palate confirming the nose with complimenting ginger biscuits and exotic brown spices. Amazingly pure. Don't get caught trying to classify this Whiskey, simply enjoy it. $55
