Partida Reposado, 100% Agave Tequila, Mexico

Without question, “Real” Tequila is hotter than ever with no end in sight to its popularity. This is due to the fact that real Tequila is a trend, not a fad. Once someone experiences a quality 100% Blue Agave Tequila there is no turning back to a cheap gold Tequila shot with a lick of salt and a lime wedge.

Partida Tequila is one of the most outstanding new brands of Tequila to be introduced in recent years. Its flavors are lush and rustic while clean and complex. The packaging (the bottle) is modern, sleek, sophisticated, and in a word, cool. I wish that I had designed it! Couple that with the great spirit and you have a real winner. Partida is a standing fixture at my home bar.

Tasting Note:
Pale gold color. Notes of wild baked agave, hardwood charcoal, charred tropical fruit, and sea salt fill the nose. My apologies to most of you for the agave descriptor but nothing has the scent of agave but... The wood notes are in good measure underscoring and accenting the wild fruit and herb flavors. Slightly sweet with contrary notes of citrus zest, pepper, and chili. Amazingly complex and vibrant. SRP $58
